Exodus 25–31 – the construction of the Tabernacle.
These chapters are a single great testimony to the glory of the Lord Jesus, for
the tabernacle is a shadow of the heavenly sanctuary (Heb 8:5; 9:23–24).
Below is a clear, deep, typologically oriented exposition, structured by chapters, with an explanation of each major component, its typology, and its salvation-historical significance.
(The Revelation of God’s Sanctuary Order)
These chapters follow immediately after the
covenant ceremony (chapter 24).
Only after the “blood of the covenant” (24:8) does God reveal the place where He
desires to dwell in grace among His people:
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” (25:8)
Order of salvation:
Ch. 19–20: Law – God’s demand
Ch. 24: Blood – atonement
Ch. 25–31: God’s dwelling – fellowship
We see:
God never dwells with man on the basis
of law, but solely on the basis of blood.

These chapters answer the question:
How can a holy God dwell in the midst
of a sinful people?
Answer:
Through blood (ch. 24)
Through a dwelling built strictly according to God’s pattern (25–31)
Through priestly service (28–29)
Through cleansing and atonement (30)
This finds its full fulfillment in Christ and the church (John 1:14; Eph 2:21–22).
In the tabernacle we see:
Christ in His person
Christ in His work
Christ in His glory
Christ in His presence
Christ as the center of the people of God
Nothing here is accidental.
Everything is ordered, holy, divine—perfect symbolism.
